There's nothing more exciting than new Gregorio Franco music, well, other than SURPRISE music from Gregorio Franco! He'd been teasing for the last little bit with video clips containing snippets of killer video game soundtrack work, but I don't think anyone was ready for a full album to drop this week. So, what are we getting in this special treat of a record? Eleven killer takes on some of the best video game scores out there by one of the best darksynth artists in the world, Gregorio Franco. That should be enough to get the hype train to full steam right there!

All right, so we're getting eleven tracks, but what games are getting the Gregorio Franco treatment here? Mega Man, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, Secret of Mana, Final Fantasy VII, Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Final Fantasy VIII, Donkey Kong Country, Mega Man IV, Mega Man X3, and Metroid. You should know that Gregorio is an expert at picking what matches his style, and he OWNS these songs. I mean O-W-N-S, so much so that as far as I'm concerned these versions are canon now in each respective game. All jokes aside, somebody needs to hire this guy to score their next video game, because Gregorio Franco bleeds this stuff out of his veins.

Run, don't walk, or maybe just click HERE to grab this absolute must own record over at Bandcamp. There's no reason to hesitate...even if you don't play video games you're getting a head banging darksynth masterpiece here.
